Position Specific Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Technology Specialist to join our IT Nuclear Innovation team. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of talented individuals working with robotics, AI data, hands-free technology, and other cutting-edge technologies to support Nuclear Fleet plant operations. Your efforts will be crucial for driving efficiency, improving safety, and reducing radiation dose in operating plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Innovation Support: Assist in exploring, implementing, and integrating new technologies to improve plant operations and safety.

· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments such as IT, operations, and engineering to identify opportunities and create solutions.

· Project Management: Support multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.

· Budget Tracking: Assist in managing budgets to keep projects within financial constraints.

· Leadership Updates: Provide updates to senior leadership on project initiatives.

· Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in robotics, AI, and hands-free technology.

· Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, including senior management and internal teams.

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

· Network Knowledge: Understanding of network environments (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).

· Technical Analysis: Proficiency in technical analysis and computer hardware/software configuration.

· Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills.

· Presentation Skills: Ability to present project initiatives to leadership.

Measures of Success/Key Metrics:

· Innovation Contribution: Contribute innovative ideas for the nuclear business.

· Process Understanding: Understand nuclear and ITN business processes.

· 3D Modeling Experience: Gain experience in 3D modeling.

Technical/Functional Skills to be Developed:

· Advanced Technologies: AI, robotics, 3D modeling, and drone experience.

· Project Management: Business analysis, Agile framework/project management.

· Nuclear Knowledge: Understanding of the nuclear generation business.

Other Responsibilities:

· Business Travel: Travel for innovation functions, meetings, and inspections.

Impact and Excitement: This role is at the forefront of innovation in our industry, utilizing robotics, drones, 3D modeling, and AI to create new efficiencies and safety measures for our nuclear business partners. Candidates will have the opportunity to learn new hardware and software technologies, travel to key power generation sites within NextEra Energy, Inc., and network with business professionals.

Additional Information:

· Successful candidates must pass a background check.

· Exposure to radiation-controlled environments within a nuclear power plant.

Job Overview

This position is responsible for day-to-day (24 hours per day, seven days per week) operational support for an organization's Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure, including data- and voice-related activities. Employees in this role provide technical support for all client devices with a high degree of customer contact and focus, ultimately generating a high degree of customer satisfaction.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

•  Identifies new or trending issues, determines root causes, and quickly resolves the issues

•  Acts as a liaison between project and engineering teams and the ultimate customer

•  Coordinates, schedules, and performs the end-work required to implement projects

•  Provides Technology Café Associate support

•  Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

•  High School Grad / GED

•  Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience

•  Experience: 2+ years
