Position Specific Description

The Human Resources & Corporate Services Business Unit is thrilled to offer a rewarding opportunity for a Compensation Consultant position. This role is integral to providing strategic consultation and support across various Business Units, focusing on job offers, job design, benchmarking, and managing the needs assessment, design, and implementation of compensation solutions. You'll be joining our dynamic work environment, collaborating with HR Advisors, Business Partners, and Leaders, enhancing both compensation strategies and customer-facing initiatives.

Key Qualifications:

  • 2 - 5 years of experience in compensation, human resources, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and analytical skills, utilizing data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive business results.
  • Expertise in analyzing compensation data and making strategic compensation recommendations
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to convey complex concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and execute multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Collaboration skills to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Knowledge:

  • Understanding of compensation practices, including job evaluation, market pricing, incentive design, and equity compensation.
  • Proficiency in compensation analysis tools and HRIS systems.
  • Familiarity with AI-enhanced tools and methodologies that optimize compensation strategy and data analysis.

Job Overview

Employees in this role are responsible for providing full compensation services to assigned business unit(s) including total compensation administration, internal and external analysis, and consultation with business unit leaders and HR staff.  This role will also participate or lead a variety of projects related to compensation.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Acts as a strategic partner to assigned business unit(s) in managing the needs assessment, design, and implementation of customer solutions related to compensation and reward services
  • Performs complex analysis, develops alternative recommendations, and formulates implementation strategies for job design and compensation and reward programs
  • Ensures compensation practices and programs are competitive in order to attract, retain, and motivate employees
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of compensation programs in order to make recommendations for change
  • Prepares job descriptions, recommends corresponding compensation levels, and communicates recommendations in a concise, customer-focused format
  • Audits pay practices to ensure compliance with federal and state legislation applicable to wage and hour laws and regulations and internal pay policies
  • Partners with information technology team and other internal partners to design effective compensation administration reporting tools
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 2+ years
